Warid Increases Helpline Call Charges by 50%

Already we were lifting the burden of increased taxes and now Warid has increased its helpline call charges by 50%. Therefore from now on all calls made to Warid customer service representatives will deduct Rs.1.50+tax/min from your account balance, while the announcement has been made for prepaid customers yesterday.

Where, Warid is on the third spot of telecom operator companies in Pakistan that has hiked its call charges to customers care center next to Mobilink and Telenor, which increased their helpline call charges by 100% formerly few months back.

Mobilink and Telenor helpline call charges have been increased to Rs.2/call in the month of November 2010 and April 2011, correspondingly. Mobilink charges have increased to Rs.2.42 (inclusive of taxes) while Telenor has lifted its helpline charges to Rs.2.79 (inclusive of taxes) and IVR applied charges.

The help line charges will be converted at Rs.1.80/call after addition of 19.5% taxes. Above and beyond call charges by IVR for specific inquires will remain 50paisas+tax according to the claim of the company.

Now Ufone and Zong are only telecom companies left to increase their helpline charges and in fact they will follow the same footsteps in the upcoming.
