In order to unsubscribe completely from Twitter SMS, just  send an SMS ‘Stop’ to 40404 and confirm

Additional functions that can be performed using this SMS based service

Username: You can choose your username

Twitter updates and notifications: You can turn ON all authorized Twitter updates and notifications

Updates, Direct Messages and Phone notifications: You can turn OFF all updates including direct messages. You can also turn off phone notifications. If you want to turn notifications on for a specific person on phone, you can do it and even you can turn off notifications for a specific person. For example; ON Raza and OFF Kumail

Follow and receive notifications: You can follow a specific user and receive SMS notifications. For example; FOLLOW Ali

Restrict SMS notifications: You can stop receiving SMS notifications for a specific user. For example; LEAVE Muhammad

Follow/Un-Follow: You can Follow/Un-follow some fellow tweeter. (Command to send private messages, favorite Tweets)

Things to consider

• Using on/off username from phone only, stops notifications coming to mobile phone; customer will still collect a person’s updates on the web since he/she will still be following them. The OFF, LEAVE, STOP, and QUIT commands will only disable mobile updates from that user
