The usage of Mobile Internet is increasing day by day due to the one after another handsets popping-up with GPRS support and has become common nowadays for the new generation to stay connected on the go, whether you need to send an e-mail, download cool stuff or even surf different websites. Evaluating the needs of potential customers, telecom operator companies in Pakistan introduces handsome GPRS bundles, but you may often get confused that which company is offering the best GPRS bundles considering different aspects like validity, GPRS volume (limit) and off course the charges applicable to subscribe to the preferred bundle, isn’t it ? Then you may consider going through the comparison below of GPRS bundles on prepaid connections; let’s see which telecom company has the best offerings:
Daily Internet Bundle
- Ufone: Under daily internet bundle offered by Ufone you get to consume up to 2 MB of mobile internet which is valid for 24 hours where charges applicable are Rs.3.99/tax included. This package will be renewed automatically after 24 hours whereas multiple subscription of this bundle is not allowed within 24 hours of subscription.
- Telenor: Telenor offers daily internet bundle which gives 3 MB GPRS volume valid for 1 day (24 hours) with charges applicable for subscribing to this package are Rs.10+tax. 1 MB extra than Ufone but Rs.10+tax is a bit high
- Glow: Equivalent to Ufone, Glow gives away 2 MB of mobile internet with validity time period of 1 day but charges are Rs.3.99+tax, whereas ufone charges the same Rs.3.99 in which tax is included. Moreover another bundle is also offered by Glow which gives 10 MB of data volume @Rs.30+tax/bucket
- Zong: Zong wins the race here by offering 60 minutes of internet usage which means no limit of MB/data volume but you can use mobile internet for 60 minutes during any time of the day, where activation charges are Rs.10 and daily charges are Rs.5 and daily you will get 60 minutes to consume. Moreover existing per hour subscribers are exempted from the subscription fee of daily package.
Outcome: If you consider using unlimited mobile internet Zong is the winner here offering 60 minutes of unlimited mobile internet usage but with Rs.10 activation charges are deducted once and Rs.5 as daily charges but if you want to get a bit cheaper bundle then you can opt for Ufone
Weekly or Half-Monthly Internet Bundle
- Ufone: Ufone gives away 5 MB mobile internet with a validity of 15 days (Half-Monthly) where charges applicable for subscribing to this bundle are Rs.50/tax included.
- Telenor: Telenor offers weekly internet bundle valid for 7 days but no half-monthly bundle but the weekly bundle gives 10 MB of data volume for 7 days validity @Rs.30+tax. Comparing to Ufone 5 MB is offered extra but time period is half to the Ufone’s validity time period
- Glow: Glow has no offering for Weekly or Half-Monthly Internet bundle
- Zong: Zong also doesn’t offer any weekly or Half-Monthly Internet bundle, at present.
Outcome: Telenor & Ufone are only the contenders here but they both offer slight different bundle as if you want a good validty time period you can opt for Ufone but if you want additional data volume then you can opt for Telenor but you will have to compromise to the half the validity as compared to Ufone.
Monthly Internet Bundle
- Ufone: Ufone gives you the freedom to use mobile internet up to 30 MB @Rs.150/tax included which has a validity period of 30 days.
- Telenor: 45 MB of data volume is offered under this bundle by Telenor @Rs.90+tax with a validity of 30 days. Telenor here gets above the comparison because it offers 15 MB additional with the same validity, moreover Rs.60+tax less applicable comparing to Ufone Monthly Internet bundle
- Glow: Unfortunately, here also Glow doesn’t offer any bundle
- Zong: Only Zong 4GB package holders can subscribe to this bundle which gives 4000 MB of mobile internet valid for a month @Rs.400
Outcome: Telenor here takes the lead but if you want a good limit of data volume you can opt for Zong but you will have to pay Rs.400 for that
Unlimited Internet Bundle
- Ufone: 1.5 GB of mobile internet limit is offered by Ufone under this bundle for Rs.500/tax included which will be valid for 30 days. The charges applicable for this bundle are a bit high when considering the GPRS volume to consume.
- Telenor: Telenor doesn’t offer unlimited internet bundle
- Glow: Glow offers Twilight GPRS bundle which aims at giving prepaid customers the facility to use unlimited GPRS (100 MB) with only one-day validity @Rs.20+tax and besides you can only avail this bundle in a time schedule prescribed by glow which starts from 1:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. It doesn’t seems quite convenient but probably a better option for night owls who can use up to 100 MB for about 8 hours
- Zong: Only Zong unlimited package holders are eligible to subscribe to this bundle which gives data volume of no limit which means you can avail unlimited mobile internet for a whole month (30 days) @Rs.999.
Outcome: In unlimited internet bundle race, Ufone, Glow and Zong are the players whereas Ufone charges Rs.500 for 1.5 GB; Glow (Twilight) gives 100 MB for 8 hours (from 1:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m) and Zong which gives the freedom to use mobile internet up to no limit but however you will have to pay Rs.999 for that, but unlimited mobile internet usage covers that cost. So Zong would be a good option for those who want no limit, Ufone for those average users and Glow for night owls who want to use mobile internet during sleep time.
