The individuals over at - AndroidPolice - have got an approaching Android handset in their hands which is capable of charging through solar energy and equips a Mirasol display, to be out by Amazon. The handset got a codename “Blaze” and under the hood the processor will be ticking at a clock speed of 1.2GHz (dual-core) from Qualcomm, and will boast of a 512 MB RAM.
Other specifications of the handset
- On-Board memory: Internal storage will be capable of saving data up to 32 GB
- Display: Equips a “Mirasol” display screen measured at 4.3 inch
- Camera: A 5 Mega Pixel camera resides at the rear part of the device, and a 1.3 Mega Pixel secondary (front-facing) camera to assist with the video calls
- Connectivity: MHL (Mobile High-Definition Link) packs in a NFC chip, WI-FI and Bluetooth connectivity.
- Battery: The battery inside is 1700mAh
- OS: Will be powered by Android V2.3 (Gingerbread) along with Amazon’s custom skin/UI.
As reported by a tipster, the ‘Mirasol’ display will not need any backlighting to display content, which means it will be a device to save the power, as it will drain less of the battery life. Rumor has it that, the rear of the phone will also equip a solar panel, which will be fabricated of a new material contrast to other solar panels which are invented of copper.
